Big Fence and I meeting for the first time in the Bronx NY for an out of state music conference event that he was hosting in East St. Louis MO, allowed me the opportunity to interview artists for my TV show “Aspiring Moments TV” at that time. It was so many artists lined up for an exclusive interview with the show, it was too much for me handle, but it was amazing, and at that moment Fence seen my potential as a host / artist and I seen his potential as an industry shaker. We joined forces in May of 2010 and created Block Party Music Ent, where Fence begin producing my music and we begin helping artists receive what we didn’t fully get.
Our first distribution deal, we scrapped up $5,000 dollars, but it didn’t turn out to be what we expected, which caused us to promise that with Block Party Music Ent aka “BPME” we would provide opportunities for artist’s and provide them with results to give them the needed boost in their music careers.
Block Party Music Ent, begin to grow although it was a little train on a big track in the industry, we were like the little engine that could. Fence using his industry connects and knowledge to help bring in clients and I using my experience as an artist / talent manager and with much industry knowledge and research we begin helping artist start their own labels and get there music on radio stations allowing artist’s to be in position to be on the music charts. Fast forward to 2025 and the many trials and tribulations I’ve been through, God Himself has given me a new voice after 30 years in the entertainment industry and a fresh start now singing / rapping for the Lord as well as providing other Christian talent the opportunity to express their creativity for the Glory of God, my story isn’t done yet it is too be continued….
I began my journey in the entertainment industry at the age 16 years old, where I started competing in local & national beauty pageants. The “TeeUnique” name comes from my first in last name initials “T”, and “Unique” rhymes with my middle name. Born on a military naval base in the North Carolina, my parents not to long after I was born decided to move back to their home state of NY, where I was raised with my parents and brothers.
Although, my teenage years was not always easy, my faith in God always kept me protected and allowed me opportunities to express myself in music. My first love for music was Gospel, then R&B then Rap. With the gift of being able to write music I began to sing and rap, but producers at the time would always push me to rap. Which is where the stage name “Harlem” came from and where my journey with Big Fence began.
